I have many sequences captured with a GoPro 8 Black in 1080p 240 fps. I can see that in the properties of a video event I can only slow down to 0.250 while 240 fps would require 0.125.
However I read some post proposing to right click on the video file and to select "Add at Project Frame Rate". If I do so with a 2 sec sequence, strangely, the resulting added event will be 16 sec, suggesting that it indeed slowed down 8 times. However, the added event is, in reality, 2 copies of the video slowed down 4 times.
I find it troublesome that Movie Studio 17.0 is not capable of handling 240 fps files for slow motion. This format is fairly common given that all GoPro cameras can generate it since, I think, version 6.
What I'm currently doing is slowing down my sequence 4x and rendering a new video at 60fps that I can then slow down again 2x in my original project. This is VERY inconvenient as I want to transition between normal speed and slow motion in my project so I need to search frame per frame in both sequences to find where they connect.
Am missing something here that would let me use my video sequences in an easier way?
