My .mp4 file continues to crash every time I try to insert into version 17 PLATINUM. I have tried three different solutions as posted in community support. Please give me a solution that really works. This has halted all effort to edit any of my .mp4 files.

My turning off Hardware Decoding in the File I/O section of the Preferences SOLVED my problem. My .mp4 files can be read and edited. Thank you a BUNCH!
@Rufus-Credle: If this solves your problem, please tag my comment as the solution. We are aware of some issues with the hardware decoding with Intel GPUs and are working on fixing them for the next update. For now the best thing to do, if updating the GPU driver does not help, is to simply turn off the hardware decoding.
