MP4 render fail

I have Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 17(223) running on a Windows 10 PC, i7, 16G ram, 516GB free hard drive space. I am trying to render a video with Magix AVC/AAC MP4 720p 25fps (file match). Saving to local HD. Estimated file size: 8GB As soon as I click RENDER, I get the error message: "An error occured while creating the media file GoldenEars Meeting 08102021.mp4. The reason for the error could not be determined" I have tried with and without GPU acceleration, and at different frame rates. 25 and 29.97. Actual is 25. Just to cover all bases, I tried the Make Movie button, saving to HD. Same results. This is my first time using build 223. I have not had this problem before.

Strange. Have you exported a render of this size before and to the same folder on your hard drive?

Also strange is the file filename in the error message. It is different to that shown in your render image?

@Bruce-Johnson

That may be because you have apparently specified an invalid file path.

Try removing the period "." from the saved folder path and try again.

@EricLNZ, yes I have rendered same size files to this location before. As for the filename difference, I was changing it up, trying to find a possible glitch.

@Musicvid the path is the one created by Vegas, so it should be correct, but I will give it a try.

UPDATE: Vegas would not let me take out the "." since that path didn't exist. So thenI tried a test loop region to the desktop and that worked. I proceeded to start rendering the full video to the desktop (I will move it later) and it appears to be working. I should know for sure in a bout an hour.

I think the problem still exists, but this is an acceptable workaround. Thanks.

Something similar has cropped up before and I recall it was something to do with the file path.
