MS 15.0: Frames blend together on export

BJaymesCondon wrote on 8/12/2019, 11:55 PM

I'm working with a 60fps video in Movie Studio 15.0, and I need the video to export frame perfectly. That is to say, every frame must be exactly what is shown in my frame-by-frame view in the program. However, when I export the video at 60fps, frames are blurring together and I'll get inbetween frames in the final video. I've tried No Deinterlace and Blend Deinterlace and seen no difference in results. Does anyone know why this might be happening and what setting I might use to ensure a frame-for-frame match?

Is your source video 60 fps or 59,94 (or something else)?

And did you render to 60 fps or to 59,94?

The source video and project settings are both set to 60fps. I always set the program to use the settings from the video I'm about to edit when starting a new project.

Yes, that setting is fine for your kind of source media.

Now what about the render settings you selected?

BJaymesCondon wrote on 8/13/2019, 11:32 AM

I've been using the basic export for this project:

...but upon checking the advanced settings, I noticed that a 59.94fps setting is selected.

Unfortunately I'm not seeing a 60fps option here or under any of the other (video) export types. I need a 1280x720, 60fps video for YouTube. Do I need to install a new encoder or codec?

If you use the basic version of Movie Studio there might be no way then. The Platinum version allows to adjust custom render presets.
