No adjustments possible in dv capture to stream from an hdmi adapter

I have an hdmi to usb adapter between a roku and the pc. DV capture brings in a good image and sound level. However the only control I have is to start and stop the capture. Everything else, volume, pause... etc is faded. The result is okay but I get a random hiccup in the stream every 30 seconds or so. If I use Vegas Capture I get two mpg files, one for video and one for sound. I can place them on the time line, but I have to line them up manually. I guess there is a way to lock them together as I have to edit each separately and align them on the time line and this is a pain. Finally in relation to the hiccups, is there any adjustment to the way the stream is handled. The adapter is usb 3 into a usb 3 port.

That is correct. Vegas capture is not designed to work with USB connections. Firewire IEE 1394 only.

The "controls" you mentioned are there to only capture from a DV or HDV tape camcorder!

Save your Roku file to your hard drive. Then open that file in Vegas. As long as the file you saved is compatible with Vegas, you simply open it in Vegas.

"Capture" is not necessary. Post back if you have additional questions.
