No Video

Project edited in Final Cut appears as audio only when played on my playback software..

Doing re-edit for client in Vegas Pro 12.0.

Needs changes and shorter.

Need the video to access to English subtitles in rendered version as interviews are in Arabic.

Original footage plays back fine, likely because it hasn't touched a Mac.

Re-editing will mean pouring over 7 hours of raw footage with a translator at my elbow.

So the solution is to play back edited version so I can reference subtitles for reedit on Vegas time line..

Open to suggestions.

It's likely in ProRes format, which support for it was not added into Vegas until version 14.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

That said, your fastest and cheapest solution to this problem would be to rent Vegas Pro 365 for a month so you can get version 15, finish your project, then you can start saving up for a perpetual license of Vegas 15 if you aren't ready to upgrade yet and don't want to keep paying the rental fee. try the demo first to make sure it resolves your issue.

And we'll know that for sure once you've posted your source media properties.
