*.ogg files in MSP14

Not, really a big problem as I have found a website to convert the *.ogg files to mp3. I use WhatsApp and ask people to use the microphone in the App to send me a message, which I download as an *.OGG file to take into MPS14 as a video voice over, MPS14 does not recognise the file. Somebody else in another Forum looked at one of the test files and encountered the same error. They then opened it in VLC and converted to a Vorbis OGG file which MS14 opens okay I just wondered if anybody else had encountered the same problem. Its just the hassle of having to make a conversion before using in MSP14. Have searched the internet with this problem but have not found anything. Have looked at file and it states it is a ogg vorbis file. Sorry cannot attach a file as it is unsupported. Cheers John

Not sure with MSP14, but in Vegas Pro, I can load ogg into it, but with your sample, anyone of us can help testing it for you.

MSP14 will normally open ogg. It's just that there's something strange about the WhatsApp ogg files. Here's what MPCHC Media info says:

It's also possible to share via WhatsApp to me too as I am the active user of it. I privately-messaged you my WA number (not sure if the format will changing or keeping similar after sending via WA - but we can try it)

It's not only MS14 that doesn't like it. Audacity, Handbrake and Soundforge won't touch it either.

Analyzing it with MediaInfo, the audio stream is opus. Unrecognized by default. Need to search how to convert this format.
