Pixelated pictures

I am VERY new to this technology. I am simply trying to make a picture slideshow for my dad's 70th birthday this weekend. I'm using Vegas Movie Studio 16 Suite. I have over 1000 photos uploaded to the slideshow section and I have music uploaded to play with the pictures. The problem is that when I preview the video, my pictures all appear pixelated. I tried a few online slideshow websites before buying the Vegas software, and these pictures all appeared to look fine. But when I view them in the Vegas Movie Studio 16 Suite, they all look pixelated. How can I clean them up?

You placed this here on the wrong forum because it is the forum for Vegas Pro.
I think one of the forum moderators will move it to the right forum.

Your problem can be caused by wrong projectsettings and/or wrong preview settings for the preview. Maybe you are able to place a screenshot with Project Media opened, some of those pictures on the time line and your preview screen like mine

What are your media (picture) properties?

What are your output (render) properties?

Usually fuzzy pictures or video in the preview screen are attributed to the 'Preview' setting.

With still photos, you can properly use the Best (Full) setting, which will give you much better quality in preview. If the A/V becomes jerky or stops, back it down to Best (half) and so on. This does not have any affect on the render quality, which you should use an appropriate pre-set for user playback.. such as DVD, Blu-Ray or YouTube.

PS, This is based on Vegas Pro, I am assuming Movie Studio has similar Preview settings.
