Please help, imported video bug!

Hello,

I am trying to edit videos which I record with lower quality than normal. To be exact it is 854x480 MPEG-1 format @2500kbps 60FPS. My OS is Windows10,

When I import it to VegasPro13 I get this kind of a broken video:

Please help, it only distorts the video recorded at that resolution, if I record with even lower resolution it works fine but I loose quality...

What is it supposed to look like?

Not sure but 854x480 is not a valid size for MPG-1 video as 854 is not dividable by 8.

Looks like it was recorded at 256 indexed colors.

Try 854x480 mpeg-2 59.97i, which emulates DVD formatting.

@Marco. Thank you, I was aware that 854 is the only default resolution which is rounded to fit into 16:9 ratio and you are correct: I changed the recorder settings to 856x480 and now Sony Vegas is able to open it without any bugs! Also the difference in video quality is unnoticeable because of the 2 pixels ^^

@Musicvid I think MPEG-1 it is slightly faster at recording. Now we know it works with resolution dividable by 8.
