Problem when selecting keyframes

jacob-b8249 wrote on 5/23/2022, 2:31 PM

I'm editing track motion keyframes and if I am zoomed in past a certain amount on the timeline, selecting a keyframe will cause the very first keyframe to be selected instead, though I haven't been able to replicate this 100% consistently. Check out the video It doesn't seem like this happens with event pan/crop keyframes. Thanks for any help!

@jacob-b8249 I find the best and most accurate way of selecting keyframes is to use the next and previous keyframe icons. Just as quick as attempting to click on them.

Jack gave you the correct method. If you click even one frame before or after, the keyframe will not be selected.

No. It’s the correct way to do it.

I think so, too - because how do you make sure, as you did in your demonstration, that you didn't miss the keyframe by a millimeter?

The next and the previous keyframe icons have the same size as the actual keyframes, you could miss them also by a millimeter.

As soon as you hover with the mouse over a keyframe the pointer should change into a pointing finger, that's the moment when you can select a keyframe with left mouse button. Another option to select keyframes is using CTRL+Left (previous) or CTRL+Right (next).
