Program crashes when searching for missing files

When using the "Search for Missing Files" feature in Vegas HD Platinum 11.0 on Windows 7, the program always crashes. It happens either as soon as the files are located or if it's spending a longer time searching for the files but haven't located them. The crash happens so quickly that I can't read the files' loacation(s).

What processor do you have with how much RAM? How much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive?

Are any of these videos from non-camcorder sources (like FRAPS or other screen recording software)?

Use "specify new location" instead. When you identify the first.missing file, all the rest will load, unless you orphaned or renamed something.

No i dont know why its crashing other than the advice above.

Many thanks. Searching for only one missing file worked. I still have to try "specify new location" to see if I can multiple missing files. Fragmentation is not the problem, but shortage of RAM still could be. =Paul=
