Quicktime Player still needed for MOV video format? ?

I have 17 days more to go for the trial version of Movie Studio 14.0 Platinum.

Still we need to install quicktime player to our pc machine to import mov files format (as usual not supported).

And today I've just encountered the missing render and cancel buttons.

I have been using the Adobe Premiere Elements, Cyberlink PowerDirector and Sony Movie Studio Platinum version 12.0.

My favorite video editing software still the Sony Movie Studio Platinum

Just started trying the Adobe premiere pro cc and it looks better, 1st I don't have to install quicktime for the mov files format and 2nd, within three days I didn't encounter any missing buttons. So far, the software is running perfectly.

Please why you can't include the codecs needed for the mov files. I really don't want to install quicktime in my pc because I'm not using it.

Vegas opens some MOV files on its own; others can be rewrapped to MP4 using a method described in the forum FAQ.
