Hi we had this problem a while in Movie Studio Platinum 13.0 (64-bit)
and now also in Movie Studio Platinum 14.0

Running the System C: on 2 Solid State hard drives in Raid 0
it is the best to have the project files on a Rotating Drive D:

D:\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Projects Movie Studio Platinum 14.0 Projects
the D: are the document dish and are shared with the SYSTEM and Admin

The reason for the error could not be determined.
wonder if there are a work around

There are several possible causes, Windows permissions and uac, not running as Administrator, antivirus software, drive letters allowed to change automatically, network firewalls, etc.

Best you can do is follow good troubleshooting tecnique and rule out possibilities ONE at a time.

A search of this forum for your error will bring up more discussion...

Thank You the strange thing is that it is only Movie studio Platinum that are struggling
we have Adobe Premiere Pro, Roxio Video Vave, CyberLink PowerDirector 15 and Tech smith Camtasia studio 8 and 9 installed on this PC an they are running like a charm against the D: drive

this command should fix the problem but not here

cacls "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents" /G Everyone:F

we get this message in CMD
There has been no mapping between account names and security IDs.
Well now we Mowed all the Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Projects
to the B: drive now it is running
