How you remove this gap? (from the demo vf)

I learn about the F key, but when I hit it, the gap to the right (on track 5) is out and not the one I'm on.

Along my few trials trying the F, I found that even if I trim an event on track 3 and then select track 5 , hitting F will move clips on track 3 not on 5. This is disturbing as in a long project and populated tracks who knows where the F key is working?
