Render finishes 100%, but loops.

Hello! Thank you for any help!
I'm using Vegas Pro 15 edit on Windows 10.
Threadripper 1950x, GTX1080, Asus Rog Zenith Extreme. Ram 16x2 at 2133.
Raw footage is 59.94FPS at 1080p mp4. Rendering with Magic HEVC/AA4 MP4 in 59.94 FPS at 1080p. I do render using Nvidia Nvenc

When I render my videos, about 50% of the time the render will complete 100%, and view correctly on the live render preview screen, but when I go back to watch the finished video it loops about 4 seconds of video for the entire length of the video. For example my 30 minute video will have the first 5 minutes correct, and the last 25 minutes will be the next 4 seconds of video looping for 25 minutes. The amount of video that is correct is random. It doesn't fail at the same point in the video, and happens randomly on any footage.

If I realize the video got messed up and I try to re-render it, it says component failed to initialize and I have to exit out.

About 50% of the time it does render correctly, but it really sucks having to render videos multiple times to get them to work.

I have uninstalled quicktime, am fully updated for windows 10. Don't have GPU acceleration or GPU Legacy acceleration on. I do have compoundSO4 disabled.

If you guys have any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you pulled an event past it's end. Looping is the default (freeze is available) when this occurs. Just pull the tail end of the event back to the notch on the timeline event and all should be well.

He's saying it happens at random, which isn't consistent with an event being stretched to the point of looping. Have you filed a support ticket?

Although not necessarily by the cause i suggested, "random" supports the notion of operator error, especially in the absence of any multilateral history of such problems. Is there a history of such problems in V15?

Bugs are repeatable under repeatable conditions, and no bugs have been shown to be truly random. A support request should be framed accordingly.

Troubleshooting 101 coming this summer.

I would suspect NVENC, but who knows. Try some other formats to narrow down. Also see FAQ's & troubleshooting guides, particularly about what info you need to post.

Could it be that in the render window you have selected the box for 2-pass rendering?
