Vegas pro, when I hit the Render button, it jumps out,"An error occurred while creating the media file. Error 0x80131501(message missing)" .
I can't go to the next render options window.

Perhaps your chosen encoder doesn't accommodate your custom project resolution of 2048x858. This is always true of GPU renderers, which only support the stock templates.
Also, your system may not meet the minimum requirements for your version of Vegas. For additional peer support, start here:

I forgot to mention, those video files are Blackmagic pocket cinema camera 4k raw. Does it matter?

@Shu-erh Does this crash Vegas? I sometimes get a similar msg when i try to render to a folder i've been using & the render dialogue has already auto chosen, but when i get this error msg i have to Render as again, go into Browse & choose the folder where i want it to go, 🤷♂️

No, it doesn't cash Vegas. All the functions run well.
Just curious, why do you stuck on Win7?
