rendering 4k videos

andrew-lettieri wrote on 7/12/2019, 2:59 PM

I rendered my GoPro hero 7 footage in movie studio 16 as internet 4k UHD 2160p 59.94 fps (Intel QSV) and tried to upload it to youtube. It always make the video a 360 degree video. I rendered the footage as a AVCHD 1080p file and the footage did not upload as a 360 degree video. What is the render settings for 4k footage that wont make it a 360 degree video. Thanks

Posting the same question twice isn't going to help. This is still the first time we have seen this question. If you are not editing in 360 and including 360 metadata, I know of no reason YouTube should think it is. Why don't you start with your YouTube settings, then render settings, working your way backwards, and let us know what you find out?

That seems to be a bug in VMS16 (which I reported (and which also was confirmed) to the Vegas team a long time ago). Some Gopro Hero7 footage sets the project settings to 360 degrees when importing that footage to the timeline. To avoid this, just deactivate the 360 degrees setting in the project settings.

@andrew-lettieri

I just uploaded an HEVC Intel 4K 60p HDR video created in Vegas to Youtube, and it does not come back 360.

Welcome to the forum, and best of luck!

@3POINT Theo

Strange, with my GOPro 7 I see that not and I never saw it.
A few minutes ago I made a small file with your settings from my caravan window wit my GOPRO and this says VMS 16 about it

Have I also and it does it also not for that short shot I have set the settings on AVC FHD lineair like your projectsettings with this error, but normaly for testing others difficultes I set it to "Video Compression" on HEVC 4K 50p wide without your problem and for myself to "Video Compression" on Compatible (AVC) 2,7K 50p lineair also not a problem. All on GOPro version HD7.01.01.70.00
And this is the MediaInfo of those files

My first screenshot of projectsettings was just to show where you can deactivate the 360 degrees, not the actual projectsettings.
