Rendering a youtube video in 1080p 60fps

Lucamccu wrote on 3/16/2021, 10:48 PM

Just got movie studio platinum today and I can't seem to figure out how to render a video properly. Every time I try to render a video, the video only renders in this small version. I've tried pan cropping and messing around with other settings but just can figure it out. When editing it looks fine

But when I try to render, these black bars appear

I've tried matching the project properties with the rendering settings but nothing has worked

1. Put your video on a timeline Video track, not on a PIP track.

2. Your Project is 1920x1080, not 1536x864.

Suggest you start with the Interactive Tutorials, Help, and "What's This?" already in your program until you become familiar with basic timeline operations and navigation.

That's strange as your editing preview was full size and not reduced as it would be if you were using the PIP track.

But anyway I'm glad you solved it. Also note that during rendering the image is reduced slightly so there's always some black bars. On looking at your render image I now realise there's more black than one normally gets indicating there's probably PIP reduction.

That's true Eric, when you don't bypass FX in the preview (and set split screen to all). From the screenshot @Lucamccu posted, split screen view is definitely active...
