Set CPU Priority in Task Manager

Just a quick question. In Task Manager under details tab there is a CPU priority option. Vegas18 appears as below normal and even if you change this to normal or above normal the setting reverts back to below normal next time Vegas runs. How much does affect the running of Vegas? (Obviously I am trying everything I can to increase stability particularly of these occasional random not responding events. I have found a small program that can save the priority level so Vegas loads and runs at the value you set - above normal for me just now).

You didn't say what your "small program" is, and Vegas should be running at Normal priority unless intervened.

Process Hacker is my friend.

As far as your question, of course there will be some advantage to running a higher priority, but how much depends on your system reserve, what else is running besides Vegas, and importantly, your own perception. In other words, YMWV.

The program is: https://www.prnwatch.com/prio/

For some reason Vegas18 was always running at below normal priority.

I have set both Vegas and Photoshop at Above Normal. Of course this is not necessarily helpful if both programs are open.
