Hello, everyone, I am in China, please forgive my poor English spelling, this content is completed by me using Google Translate. If this content does not fit the topic of this forum, please delete it.
I have been a vegas NLE user for many years, and then I joined a video production company for 6 years. When making TV programs for TV stations, I used other NLE systems. I found that the system comes with a very useful plug-in that uses hotkeys to generate subtitles. The general function is to use the system hotkeys to manually change the content of the text file Correspond to the time of the audio waveform of the dialogue, and then create the dialogue caption (similar to CC--Closed Caption).
I know that many excellent subtitle software can be downloaded on the Internet, such as: Vegasaur, Arctime Pro, SubtitleEdit. They can make SRT files, or generate PNG images, and then import them into processes like Vgeas NLE, but for Vegas NLE, a lot of work steps are added, and some software needs to be purchased.
Many years ago, I saw on the Internet that many predecessors made some great plug-ins for the early version of Vegas, and most of them were free, but for well-known reasons, Vegas is no longer compatible with many old plug-ins, of course. Some functions are also built-in, such as: import SRT files as subtitles, and region mark as subtitles.
I thought about how to make the most of the existing functions of Vegas NLE, so referring to the previous work experience, I wrote a plug-in that "use the hotkey to match the time of the text document to generate the region mark", and then use the "region marks to generate subtitles" to complete the rapid production of dialogue subtitles.
After several revisions and improvements, and helped me complete some video production work, I think it is already a relatively mature work, so I want to share it with everyone for free.
I uploaded the self-made plugin to github.com, and I can visit my homepage http://kindkind.com
