SLOW render time!

nick-f wrote on 1/10/2020, 10:54 AM

If its too small to read...16 hours into in, with over 3 hours to go...and only 83% . Even though this is one of the longer videos I have ever made, i have never seen such a long render time. This video does however have a ton of GoPro footage, as well as GoPro time lapse footage..but only 5 tracks....Is that the reason? I also just updated my computers .NET version. Any help would be appreciated.

Difficult to say, depends also on the hardware you're using to edit and render 2160p60. Special reason to render to mov instead of mp4? When rendering to mp4 you could have rendering support of your GPU.

And probably you render a 2705x1520 project to 3840x2160 pixels, did you have a special reason to handle that way?

Post file properties for source and render (when it's done).

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

Also, a list of all effects and filters you have in the project, including pan/crop and etc. We can help you find which ones are hogging your CPU.

Yes, the renderer makes a big difference, especially 32 bit QuickTime!

Which render template did you take? When using the render wizard, just select mp4 render option.

I started rendering in 1080 at 30 fps! much quicker to render and the quality is plenty fine.. especially on a 40 minute video

Is 1080p30 also the format of your source and project?
