Some Quicktime files not accepted on Timeline?

Hi all,

I just recently upgraded from VMS13 to VMS16, and have been using it consistently for a little while now.

I have recently been rendering some Quicktime files in After Effects, before then adding them to the Project Media area in VMS16.

This is where my problem occurs. I have some older Quicktime files (a video intro), that I can drag from the Project Media area and onto the timeline with no issue (It also shows a preview when I hover over it in the Project Media area). However, the latest Quicktime files that I have rendered are being put in the Project Media area as standard, but then they are not showing a preview, and the program won't let me select or drag the Quicktime file onto the timeline.

Have I accidentally missed a setting or am I being a complete noob user here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Below are a few bits of info just incase they help

Version in use - Movie Studio Platinum 16.0, Version 16.0.142

OS - Windows 10 Pro, Version 1803

Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz

Installed RAM - 16.0 GB

Vegas doesn't natively support ProRes 444, a proprietary Apple format.

The second one, in RLE Animation format, is supported natively.

You can try to convert to mp4 in Handbrake.

That's worked great. I had Handbrake on my old PC, but completely forgot about it!
