tool bar buttons disappear when I roll over them

hi all,

Got a problem with vegas movie studio 17.0 platinum. Whenever I roll over any of the buttons in my toolbar, the button gets warped/distorted (attaching picture, see "add text/image/graphic" icons in the top left for example). This is a big problem when I go into more technical work as, it distorts what buttons are and makes the software effectively unusable.

Got a windows 10, Alienware area 51m laptop, nvidia 2080 graphics card, 32 ram, i9 9900k intel chip--any ideas on what a solution might be here?

Thanks!

Upgrade to the latest Studio version of your graphics drivers and see if the problem goes away.

do you mean on "geforce experience" (that's the driver management software for nvidia drivers) rather than toggling the drivers for the best gaming experience, toggle for the best studio experience and then ensure the drivers there are the most up to date versions?

That is recommended, even if it doesn't solve this particular issue.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Went ahead and made that change--it has not changed the problem--but I am thankful you all brought my attention to adjusting to studio work versus gaming.

Same thing--the buttons/icons all distort once I roll over them. It looks like it recognizes the rollover animation but then struggles to reset to the default animation. The buttons reset after I minimize and re-open the application though it is still an irritation that it continues.
