Hello everyone!

I'm just wanna share my recent short film titled "Tular" for DFKL2019 Competition and it was edited in

VEGAS Pro 16 build num 361.

99% of the post production was done in VEGAS Pro except for the running scene at 4:11 was post stabilised in Premiere Pro. Besides that, Color Grading and etc was done in VEGAS Pro. I Hope you guys enjoyed it.

When I first saw your movie, I thought it might have been overgraded.

However, when I downloaded your Youtube version, I discovered you had shot and graded {quite nicely I might add!} in native RGB colorspace, which plays nicely in Vegas' preview, but not so nice as your delivery (YUV) format.

.

Unfortunately, there is one more step to getting your Youtube version to look exactly as you intended in Vegas. Comparisons should be made only on a properly calibrated monitor.

Since your source acquisition and grading were done in RGB Space, I recommend adding the Computer RGB->Studio RGB Levels filter to the output (Preview) Buss, last in chain, just prior to rendering.

That way, your Youtube playback will appear exactly the same as you saw in Vegas' Preview.

A recent discussion of various methods used to achieve this appears here, and I recommend you choose one you can become comfortable with every time you render mp4 from Vegas.

You are welcome. Your piece tells a story, and that's what matters.

Computer RGB>Studio RGB is not an FX chain right? its a something you have to deal with the interval VEGAS settings? how do I get into it?

No, it's in the regular effects window. Just have to choose the right preset.

Also look at the SEMW extension, which you download.

Yes, "VEGAS Levels."

There are two filter presets, make sure to pick the right one.

The right one will make your preview look too flat Just beforethe rendering.
