Unable to render any video

Hello!

I'm recently got back into video editing. I recently updated to Vegas Pro 20 and worked on an important video that I need for a presentation on Saturday. Spent countless hours in editing it and now want to render it. Problem is - as soon as I go to "Render as" select any 1080p render option and hit "Render" the program begins to load and then freezes. Even to a point where I cannot close the task via task manager anymore. It happens with ANY video I try to render.

I tried:

  • setting the priority to high
  • save it as a new project
  • disable render loop region only (was never checked to begin with)
  • Change File permission
  • restarting my computer (doing it after every freeze since I cannot close the program anyway)

My specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU

32GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS ATX

WIN 10

I'd be helpful for any tips or hints on what I could try! 🥺

1. Try resetting to the situation right after the first install by following this link exactly: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/
2. Which driverversions are installed for the Nvidia GPU and the Intel GPU?

Try turning off "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing" in Preferences->Video and restarting Vegas.

If that helps, upgrade your grapics drivers from the Vegas Help menu.

If that doesn't help, start here, paying close attention to the details in Section C:
