@Roy-Fitts You will have to ask Steam. VMS17 Platinum is no longer available from Magix Vegas and anyway they wouldn't be able to upgrade you as you are a Steam customer and not a client in the Magix client records.

Also note that Movie Studio 18 on is not a Vegas product. It's Magix Movie Edit Pro renamed and is a different product.

The current Magix Movie Studio (not Vegas Movie Studio) is owned and made by Magix.

The old Vegas Movie Studio sold by Steam was a version supplied to Steam that differed slightly for the Steam environment. At least that is how I understand the situation.

This a user forum. We are not Magix or Vegas, although Vegas staff may occasionally post here.

Anyway as previously advised VMS is no longer available from Magix. It's a discontinued product. You may find some resellers, such as Amazon, still have stocks of VMS17 Platinum.

In addition to what EricLNZ said, upgrade licenses on Steam are as scarce as hens' teeth. So even if they have MSP17, they wouldn't give it to you at a further discount. They shouldn't have "sent" you to Vegas Creative Software; you may occasionally find ok deals on Humble Bundle, Pinguin, and G2A. Search.

I would steer clear of Amazon resellers; they are not necessarily vetted, and there have been a number of complaints here (that we can't act on) regarding registration issues mostly. Search.
