vegas movie studio platinum - resize still images

I am using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 16. I am trying to change the size of a photograph I am using in my video and just cannot figure it out. All I have found is to use the crop tool in the timeline portion containing the still, but I just am unable to figure out how to change the size and also move the location of it. I really need some help ASAP. Trying to finish something for Christmas.

Track Motion will do it. I show you how to use it in this tutorial.

It's easier nowadays by simply adding the recently introduced PIP (Picture In Picture) Video FX to the Event (Clip). This will do what you want and possibly better quality than using Track Motion. (My understanding is that Track Motion resizes using the Project resolution whereas PIP uses the Clip's original resolution).

In VMS16 there is a so called Picture in Picture track (just below Text and above Video track). Drop your picture on that track and resize and reposition that picture using the PIPfx controls or with your mouse directly in the preview window.
