So I've seen a couple of posts regarding this but none with solid answers, I've downloaded QT anyways becaause that's what the app tells me to do, but others on here have said it's not required. Could someone please help me with getting Vegas to load my files. QT is the only thing on my pc that actualley displays the items correctly, VLC & other media players display it incorrectly, which leads me to believe it is in fact related.

You will orobably need QT 7 / 32 bit installed to open old-school RLE (Animstion) files in Vegas.

A simpler solution should be to convert it to mp4 in Handbrake first.

I used Handbrake, The animator said it wouldn't work properly as an mp4, but it does.

Glad to know, tell your animator about "Magic YUV" or "UT Codec," both in RGB mode. He'll be glad you did. RLE causes rounding errors and larger files. I'd stay away from 422 if I was him.

In Handbrake, using the Animation "Tune" may give slightly better results.
