A workaround you can try to export the track to other fx... track the bezier mask and get a good track. Turn the tracked plate into a white square (mask). motion track the white square against a black background using the other motion tracker method. Does that improve the results?

BEZIERE MASK TO MOTION TRACKER

If I carefully trace the car plate in Beziere Mask, open Motion Tracker panel and choose Accurate precision & Perspective Mode, I will get SUPERB TRACKING. It just track flawlessly. You can see the screenshot below how Motion Tracker with Beziere Mask tracking give good results.

 

What is the problem then if I can get accurate tracking from beziere mask to motion tracking panel? I can't extract the GOOD Tracking Data to pin with other stuff like text/photos/videos to parent with the car plate. If I do separate tracking, I wont be able to "replace" the car plate with Text/Images etc.

When you track with the mask, you have more completely, less ambiguously,pre-defined those edges that the computer tracks, frame to frame, while with a raw image in the midst of a larger image, or images, the computer/software must "guess" frame to frame, what exactly is going on. That is my 'educated' (but not very) guess.

VP18 build 334 finally added the feature where Motion Tracker will automatically detect the Beziere Mask and track base on the shapes we made.

Idk, but Tracking base on shapes we created in Beziere Mask will give super accurate results compare to Motion Tracker itself (even with Accurate selected).

I Have a rolling shots that I've recorded. handheld. The shutter speed is double from the frame rate(25FPS 1/50)

MOTION TRACKER

If I motion track the car plate just from the MOTION TRACKER panel with Accurate precision & Perspective Mode selected, I WON'T GET PERFECT tracking, it will be offset & glitchy. You can see in the screenshot below how the region mask don't properly track the car plate.

I tried this exact method before that, doesnt work at all

Im not sure honestly, If the beziere mask perform better tracking then the panel, arent we going back to square one on how VP17 originally motion track object with beziere mask?

Don't get me wrong, the new panel reduce the amount clicks & bypass the need of script to send the tracking data, but when it comes to super accurate, perspective tracking u will need beziere mask.

For normal tracking like location mode work just fine. I can easily track object & pin a text onto it
