Vegas Pro 20 missing desktop icon

I purchased the Vegas pro 20 upgrade and downloaded it to my laptop using the Vegas Downloader. After downloading Vegas Pro 20 and all its added components to my hard drive, the downloader failed to add a Desktop shortcut for Vegas Pro 20. Desktop shortcuts were added for Vegas Stream and Sound Forge Studio. So my question is how do I open Vegas Pro 20 and register if I can't find the installed program?

When the install process starts, one of the install windows that pops up has a selection named "Change Default Settings" (or similar wording). Clicking on that selection results in an option via a checkbox to add a desktop shortcut.

It is still possible to add a desktop shortcut by rright clicking on the desktop, selecting 'New' and and selecting 'shortcut' from the context window that opens. It's then just a matter of drilling down to the Vegas Pro 20 .exe file via the Browse button. It can also be done by right clicking on the Vegas Pro 20.0 entry in Windows' Apps lisitng, click on 'More' and select 'Open File Location' and then copy the Vegas Pro 20.0 shortcut - then R click on the desktop and then click on 'Paste Shortcut'.

The option to have a desktop icon should available without drilling down in Change Default. That to me, means default location of installation, not having a desktop icon.

But I have VP20 on my Taskbar for quick launch. I ran VP20 from the Start, and when it loaded, right clicked on the taskbar icon and pinned it.

It's a bug in at least two recent versions. Here is the roadsign so you can add your own:

"C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 20.0\vegas200.exe"

The developers already have it on their list.
