Vegas pro 20 takes too long to load

The program has been loading for over an hour. its scanning VST and it barely moves. it asks to install direct play but that is already installed over and over. also get the c++ error. sorry not computer savvy.

Show us a screenshot of your startup screen when it hangs.

Don't include third-party plugins in your startup scan. Exclude ALL folders from the scan EXCEPT the MAGIX folder, then add a few back in as needed. You've probably got a bunch of bargain-basement VSTs on your system. If it's hanging on a DirectX plugin, you'll have to find what program it's coming from, and uninstall it.

Restart the computer, move the VST plugins elsewhere for a time and see if Vegas starts.

@orlando-oquendo it has indeed probably something to do with the VST plugins

Over here first startup after the install

VP20 had a probem with one vts3 plugin from waves ,

got the message that it didn't recognised the plugin , I skipped it and from then no problem

Do you need a dongle for some of you plugins ? Is it inserted ?

I'm super interested to know how you skipped the problem plugin during Vegas Pro's opening/loading process. Please explain how you did this.

For discussions about compatibility with Waves plugins in Vegas 20, use the handy Forum Search feature. ;?)

@Dexcon  On the first startup of VP20 after the install ,

Vegas started to load al my plugins and it stopped by one

I was a vst 3 plugin from Waves , I believe it was the PuigTec EQ

I got a window from V20 that this plugin was not compatible , with the option if I wanted to skip it.

I first clicked no , so VP20 closed and stopped.

So I clicked the VP20 icon again ,

and again in the startup I got the message ; so this time I clicked skip and VP proceded and opened the software

The next time I didn't get that message again
