Vegas Pro has stopped working (MSVCR90.dll)

To begin, I detail some features of my PC:

  • Processor: Intel Core I5 6400 Skylake
  • Memory RAM: 16GB
  • Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX1050ti G1 Gaming 4gb ddr5
  • Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I use the software "Vegas Pro 13" and I have recently tried version 14.
The problem I have is that said software (either lka version 13 or 14) closes unexpectedly, sometimes while I'm editing and other times when I'm rendering. When the software stops working, I can read in the error log the next thing (in 90% of the times it has happened, it shows me the same log):

Problem Description
   Application Name: Vegas Pro
   Application Version: Version 13.0 (Build 428) 64-bit
   Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
   Fault Module: C: \ Windows \ WinSxS \ ....... \ MSVCR90.dll
   Fault Address: 0x000000006A4AE293
   Fault Offset: 0x000000000001E293

The only thing I have noticed is that this happens, in general, when I work on projects that have many effects or many video tracks. Sometimes the software stops working I was either rendering a preview ("draft" quality) or rendering an interval of a few seconds.

Try reinstalling your graphics drivers.

That is a "windows" file that is failing. If updating your video driver (as Musicvid suggested) does not work, you might try updating .NET.

Yep, sometimes third party applications replace the system dll with their own.

If I share the full path to that file, could you have a more accurate idea about the problem? Maybe that helps me determine which program has corrupted the file. Also I have noticed that the normal thing is that this file is in "System 32" but it is not my case.

Yours is a Windows issue, as jetdv clearly stated. You won't find that kind of support here.

May I suggest from experience that searching for a needle in a haystack is not the most fruitful approach?

If, after trying the two suggestions above, you still have problems, my next suggestion will be to reinstall Windows, and then video drivers, and then the required version of NET, and finally reinstall Vegas, in that order. Best.
