When I open up Vegas Pro I get an error message saying (an error occurred while loading the project file the file is an unsupported format) so I can't open it with all my work. Is their a way I can solve this problem?
I’m not opening Vegas pro 19, im opening 18 because that’s what I’m using. Where does it say 19? Im trying to find how to open my work again and get through this unsupported file issue. I looked for help in the Vegas forum but couldn’t find the answer to my problem.
Yes. I even tried renaming the file to just veg. I saw someone do on YouTube but it didn’t work and not sure if I can change the file again. I can’t open it at all.
I fear that the answer maybe no, but have you renamed the project file incrementally over time, something like name1.veg, name2.veg, name3,veg, etc so that if a project file corrupts, you can go back to the previous .veg file? I learned to do that a long time after a horrible experience of not doing so and then having to start the project all over again.
BTW, the error message shows a 'dot' after .veg - I assume that the error message has added the dot and that there is no dot after the .veg file in the Windows folder.
Yes as I watched on a YouTube video to supposed to solve that problem. I hate following other peoples methods when I don’t know what I’m doing but already didn’t know how to open it again so was doing with hope. I can’t get the bak versions to open.
No I can’t find the file to edit the name it’s all now Vegas I’m not sure if it will work. Their wet the white pages where I change the file name but now all is blue as Vegas .
