Video FX on media FX... not copied on another project

Hello
I just realize a big lack or bug on Vegas 15/16.
If you set a filter on a media FX... (not on the Video Event FX...) and copying this event to another project (I mean a second opened session of Vegas), all the filters in the filters chain are not copied. While if copied inside the same project, they are copied and kept together.

Which is a big problem.
Is it possible to improve this in the next upgrade?

I just tried replicating this in VP16 using Media FX. I get the same behaviour - it copies okay within the same instance of VP, but not in another opened instance of VP.

What works here is "File/Import/Media from project...".

It absolutely doesn't work. In this way you import only the raw media without any filters or crops, nothing.

If I apply crop as a media fx, this also works here using the import feature.

Please explain me more in detail how to do, because on my case, it imports only raw files in the Project Media tab without filters or crop.

See this video:

If you follow the way it's done in this video, all Media FX, Event FX and Pan/Crop settings are copied over to the second project. Only Track FX and Output FX can't be copied this way.

Ok, I understand now. You make "File/Import/Media from project..." as an additional operation in order to make works the copy and paste completely.

Thank you, it works, but I still consider that there is a bug/lack. I mean that this additional step is not intuitive at all and should be avoided. Specially if your file is in a big project, when you import files, you will charge the Project Media tab a lot, and once the event pasted, this oblige you to click on the "Remove all unused media from project, which is another additional operation.

I think this should be improved.

I agree this could be improved. But it is not a bug. The Copy&Paste feature is an Event based feature which copies everything and nothing else as what belongs to the Event property. But a Media FX is not an Event property.

Technically is not a bug, but when I want copy and paste, is more logic and easier past totally the event including the Media FX, afterwards, if I don't want something (rarely), I remove it. Is not a point of view, is logic. 😊

I hope someone of Magix read this post and consider it.

Since media effects are added, not embedded in the media file, I suspect its the best it's going to be.

Simple info: problem not solved on Vegas 17 😕
