Video in preview display showing red and black

So today I shot some video on my iPhone 14 Pro, then I took the video straight from the phone and put them into Vegas Pro 18. The video has sound and the video is either red or just black! I tried changing settings, restoring settings, a whole reinstall of Vegas and an older version (16) and still got nowhere! I don't know what to do from here! I really need to edit this soon! I haven't edited footage filmed on my phone in a few years but I have edited for a few clients recently.

Don't shoot HDR on your iPhone and see how it looks in Vegas; DolbyVision is not supported in Vegas.

I don't think I had it on but the problem went away out of nowhere! I tested with it on and off and Vegas seemed to take both, I do know Vegas doesn't support the new iPhones with Dolby Vision though, I would love to have support eventually as content moves quickly to HDR! If it weren't for you I wouldn't have played around and did something to get it to work! Thanks!

Try the free software MediaInfo to help you understand the technical differences between the formats your phone can shoot. They're not all equally supported in Vegas.
