My video preview is not working all of a sudden. I was away for three weeks (my pc was shut off). When I returned, if I load any video items in the timeline (including loading projects I edited previously) the video preview window show nothing (either a black screen of just shows the window behind it). If I open a new project any video or picture I put on the timeline has the same symptom.
I am on version 14.0 build 252.

Yes post a screenshot. Common causes are the trimmer or split screen.
One thing I noticed. If the video preview window is on monitor one, it works fine. If the video preview is on monitor 2, it does not work (but it does work on monitor 2 if its full screen).

here is what it looks like when i drag it to monitor 2 - note that if I go to full screen mode it works fine on Monitor 2. Note that its displaying what was under the window when it was on monitor 1.
Thanks. But previous to this (i.e. two weeks ago but using same version) I could use the preview window on monitor 2 without it being in full screen mode. What I'd like to do is get back to using the Video Preview this way. What could have changed to cause the preview window to no longer work like this?

Possibly an automatic update of your video driver.
What GPU do you have and what driver version? I am collating reports of NVIDIA driver versions here.
