In what ways do you suspect the video was tampered with? A trained eye can spot pretty much any edit/tampering, though it is getting harder... This is a prime example:

Quite dramatic.

You can always composite with the original and use the Difference filter.

In my above example, you can look closely and see the wrinkles that surround his mouth fade in and out unnaturally rather than forming gradually as he moves his lips. They still did a fantastic job, good enough to fool the average person... and it will only get better. Before long, even the trained eye won't be able to spot it, and they'll be able to model our voices to say things we've never said before as well.
