Vegas renders to more than one flavor off MP4, there's Sony AVC, Magix AVC,, etc... which codec and template are you using?

It may help to try a different format and see if you can get a successful render out, like render to magix intermediate, then try to go to mp4 from there. That might at least get you going. It could be that Vegas doesn't like the mp4's that obs is generating, you may try to mess with the settings in OBS.

I tried a couple of the Magix AVC and other .mp4 formats, to no avail. Upon another suggestion, I tried rendering the raw video files, which worked perfectly. However, upon editing them together, it encountered the same problem, for no apparent reason.

For this video, I've got two recordings that I'm trying to piece together. One is the main recording, while the second has a couple 30-second clips that I want to splice into the main recording. To make the transition, I use a fade to black transition in the last second of the first recording, and then a fade in transition for the second recording. Upon another fade out back to the first recording, it just stops rendering from there. The subsequent fade in never happens, though it plays as intended when I'm not rendering in the preview window. I've also tried editing the video from scratch again, which encounters the same problem. Removing the fade transitions has no effect either.

Something to keep in mind, if you try to edit 10 bit files and they will not open, re-enable so4compoundplug.dll, as it is required to open some of them.
