VMS17 Plat - still having a problem with video/ rendering.

Andrew-Cherry wrote on 8/29/2020, 2:40 AM

I triple checked obs to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong, and I can't seem to find anything in my movie maker settings, anyone know how to fix this? I made sure the video wasn't in pip and everything

I've moved the thread but @Andrew-Cherry isn't this a duplicate of your other thread https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/video-is-super-small-compared-to-when-i-just-play-it-normally--123503/ which you created earlier and is now resolved? If so please don't create duplicate threads and on confirmation I'll delete this one.

Or are you still having a problem?

Andrew-Cherry wrote on 8/29/2020, 4:01 AM

It is resolved now, someone told me to move my question with a link so I did. I didn't mean to cause any problems I swear!

EricLNZ wrote on 8/29/2020, 4:32 AM

Ok, so all's resolved. That's good. You're not the first to be tripped up by the PIP track FX.

Andrew-Cherry wrote on 8/29/2020, 4:34 AM

I figured, but when people were telling me pip I thought they were meaning picture in picture not the diamond lol but now I know! Thanks for your help!

EricLNZ wrote on 8/29/2020, 4:40 AM

The diamond dot indicated something had been applied to the track, which alerted Jack S to the probable cause of your problem..

The PIP track that appears in a new project is no different to other tracks except Vegas has applied a PIP FX to the track and named the track for you. Personally I wish it didn't as it causes problems.

It's all a big learning curve 😀

Gotcha! I'm sure this is alot more common than I think lol! But I'm glad we got it resolved so maybe I can post to YouTube again!!! 😁

Some new users tend to want to "dive right in" and quickly find themselves in over their heads because they don't know the steering controls. It's Ok to make lots of mistakes, but in deference to your rescue squad, knowing the ABC's first helps us in the patience department. Following the in-program tutorials makes more informed mistakes happen. Welcome to the forum!
