VP 15.0 (416) - Continuously crashes during slide show editing

Hi

VP crashes over and over. Picture hangs, the program surface on the screen turns white and Windows 10 asks to shut down cause the program is not responding. May this be related to memory allocation? I have increased dynamic RAM to 8 GB. The unit has 32 GB of internal memory at disposal. One XAVC-S file is on the time line and, for the moment, about 40-50 JPG "HD"-pictures, average size/pic 0,8 MB. I use the VEGAS picture-in-picture plug-in, cross-fades by overlapping and continuously pan/crop of every picture.

Please advice.

BR Michael

It's a known issue with a workaround.

1. Upgrade your graphics driver.

2. If that doesn't fix it, disable "GPU Processing of Video Acceleration" in Preferences.

Same song, 42nd verse.

Thank You! I will follow your instructions. I'll be back with feedback... hopefully no 43rd verse... :-)

Graphics driver uppdated! Worked for 2,5 hours before first crash. So much better. Should one be pleased with one hang-up or program crash now or then?

What is the underlying problem? Is it related to the VP software or to the choice of graphic card and its capacity? Has the problem of crashes related to graphic parameters been addressed in VP 16 and 17 ? I'm currently running VP 15 as initially mentioned.
