Running Vegas Pro 18 (Win 10 pro 64bit), on discreet OS SSD Drive, my media (editing) drive is a separate SSD. Then i have 1 more HDD which has all my permanent overlay PNGs, music tracks, sound effects. This is more like a library disk, where i store assets that would be used in various projects. Now when a new project comes i put all its media import into one folder on the edit drive and then start working, but as i reach 75% of the project completion. There are about 20 to 30 assets like sounds, pngs, video overlays (from various deep folder hierarchies) from my library disk that are used in the project. Is there a way to save, so that those assets come into my main edit drive into the project folder so that the entire assets are all in one location ?
I know the save archive method saves all the assets of one project into 1 final folder. Another option is to manually copy out each asset from my library disk into the project folder on the edit drive (cumbersome) esp when i might change/replace some asset without something new towards the end of project work too.
Any logical idea which i can use ? At the moment i think ill have to try save archive and point the destination to my project folder so it will bring all media assets into that folder without overwriting the clips which are already there (original raw footage).
In simple words... i want to do a save as archive but into the original raw footage master folder, without losing any of the original raw footage clips which are already in it (by being clipped/trimmed or overwritten or deleted).
