Warning error: Device does not exist!

I opened my Sony Vegas pro today to edit some media & added some photos I've recently taken, but when I went to trim a program came up & said my device does not exist. I tired with other media, same thing happened, I ran administrator same thing kept happening & after I sent a response about the issue I thought I'd see if anyone here could help me please?

Which version of "Sony" Vegas are you using? It hasn't been Sony for a few years so presumably you are using an old version of Vegas Pro.

Where are you trying to add the photos from? Was it an external device which is no longer connected?

@EricLNZ I'm using 'Sony Vegas pro 13.0 (64-bit)' (I got it in 2014) The photos were JPG file on my pc & weren't on another device, but again I tried using other media available & that doesn't work, even previous videos can't be edited, I can't do anything with it.

@EricLNZ I think it's an operational error, Vegas pro 13 is missing a device or program & can't function without it. I reckon I might need to re-install it, but honestly I'm not quite sure how to do that.

@Musicvid I'm afraid I can't anymore. In an attempt to fix the issue I tried Ctrl+shift+double click to reset everything, it identified the command, but then booted up vegas pro with the same issue. At that point I decided to 'uninstall & then reinstall', though I had forgotten I needed a serial number to register access to the program!

@max-l2581 Do you not have a serial number to register your Vegas Pro 13?

@EricLNZ I bought mine & downloaded it from online, I got my number via email, so I searched my old email but nothing was found. I've contacted the support team & requested help, if they don't reply back I don't know what else to do.

Lastly if you have a Magix account look there as from memory users old serial numbers were migrated over. Unfortunately I cannot locate the thread about this which I'm sure was a "sticky" at some time.
