So I just installed Vegas Pro 18 in Windows 10 and I have this problem where the audio wave preview does not match up with the audio I hear playing. There are parts where the waves are flat and yet I keep hearing voices. Here is an example.
I have looked on Google, Youtube, and other posts in these forums and I just can't seem to find an answer.

This happens with every vocal audio file I put in the editor, even if it is the only track in it.

Please Click on the Link, and follow the directions exactly for posting the Vegas and MediaInfo File Properties for the Media File you opened in Vegas. Also, if you captured the file yourself, share the software you used. We are unable to address your question without this essential information, thanks.

After reinstalling it 3 times suddenly it just works fine with audio. No idea what that was all about. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

Most of the time, this multiple installation doesn't really make anything better.
The remedy of choice is usually the reset to the original state.
