Hello, I am trying to render a 2 minute video in 4K at 23.9 frames per second, but keep getting unwanted jumps/skips for a frame at some parts of the video. Looking for ways to fix this and came across Maximum Number of Rendering Threads in video perferances. Mine is currently set to 32.
My question is what are Maximum Number of Rendering Threads? What does it do?
and what should I set mine at for the smoothest render of a 23.9FPS video?

It refers to your number of CPU Logical Processors (threads). I keep mine set to one or two less than that number, so I can get some other stuff done while rendering.
I always set this to 1, yes to ONE. Makes no difference in renderspeed on my PC (see my signature) but gives also no/less render issues.

Curious as to what shows up when you use Task Manager to see how many cores/threads are being used?
