What is old is now new

For a while now, vinyl LPs have been out selling CDs. I heard on radio this week that audio cassettes are now making a comeback - eek! What next? 78s, wire recorders and cylinders? But even more frightening is whether VHS/BetaMax will make a comeback. Even though sadly my Beta VCRs are long gone, I am prepared for a VHS resurgence with fully functioning VHS and SVHS machines. I wonder if the Vegas team are planning for Beta/VHS render options in Render As 😊😊😊. BTW, totally TIC.

Please don't!
Although I bought a Pioneer PL-520 record player about 2 years ago (after I unfortunately repaired my Sony record player from 1980 to death) to be able to play my records from my youth (long ago) now and then.
I also still have a VHS recorder connected to my AV receiver, but it hasn't been turned on in a long time. I would only do VHS to myself now for the memory value.
And audio - recorder? There I only remember with horror the tape mess and the desperate attempts to get the tape back into the cassette.

I'm already curious how many votes you get for the Beta/VHS render options.
Maybe put the suggestion in the feature request thread too.🙂🙂🙂

The undisputed king of mobile audio -- the LearJet 8 track. Pop in the cartridge and it played -- This is what introduced me to Jim Morrison and Carlos Santana. Haven't been the same since...

I've been noticing 4:3 ratio make a comeback in last couple of years. Sometimes it helps sell the premise, such as this short film where the woman appears to go back to 70/80's Florida, so they use 4:3 AR, video effects and fonts from the era also evokes nostalgia

But increasingly I see the youth using 4:3 with and without VHS effects not even to set a time period, like this music video, by a youth aimed at youth. Not up with American culture, but think it's visuals and story plays out in current time. It is used because the frame is cool again, I guess.

The other possibility is that 4:3 is the widescreen evolution of 1:1 which is seen on a lot of social media platforms due to videos appearing a reasonable size on both 16:9 monitors and 9:16/18/21 phones, but 1:1 is not very atmospheric
