When I import a video file, the audio is pitched down

Pretty much as my title says, when I drop a video file into the playlist, the audio is pitched down. Any ideas as to what would cause this behavior?

Usually it means another open program has hijacked your audio drivers. Just close other programs before you start Vegas.

Oh! That gave me an idea. I fixed it by changing my output on Movie Studio sample rate to be 44.1hz
