when I open a .sfk file it can't find the movie files 'cos I moved 'em

Can I somehow move these files, which constitute the project, back? But how do I know where to put them as I have probably deleted the old folders. I suppose I need to be able to look inside the .sfk file to see where the files are expected to be but opening in Notepad and all I see is mangled text. Am using Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11

Your project file is a .vf file.

.sfk files are not needed because they repropogate.

These are metadata files and they belong in the same folder as the media that has their name. For example: myvideo.mp4.sfk belongs in the same folder as myvideo.mp4. Having said that, you can simply delete them and they will be recreated as needed when you use the media in a project.

As musicvid pointed out, these are not your project file. That would be the .vf file.
