Which rendering format for video preview?

I am ready to make a WIP preview of a 1 hr film intended to be previewed on VIMEO by anyone. My source going into V 19 is 1920x1080 AVI (internal) Motion-JPEG 24p. Which one of the given choices would be the most efficient by which I mean take the least time to render at 24 fps and perhaps 720p but not a condition. At first glance I think I could use Video for Windows NTSC Widescreen 24p. I used to render this in V 18 using the AVC/AAC MP4 with satisfactory results but I don't see that one anymore.

My composer works with MAC ProTools but always assures me that he can adjust to almost anything I send him. I know he prefers Apple ProRes which I see here for the first time but have no idea which version to select. I assume that 23.976 won't be in conflict with my film 24fps I use for editing. Video for Windows NTSC Widescreen 24p looks good to me but as I said at the top, I intend to place this in VIMEO as well.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like two questions.

1. For dailies and previews, in my humble opinion, the tried-and-true XDCAM-EX, same as is used for high quality proxies. Fast, uncomplicated, universal.

2nd choice: x264, such as in HOS, Handbrake, Voukoder. Slower and smaller than above, but as good quality.

2. For an intermediate handoff to a Mac for editing, obviously ProRes in the same format as the project.

XDCAM-EX sounds like camera footage. In my case which is an animation graphics software I think I'll test ProRes first and get back. Thanks

To my delight I actually discovered that all my old settings are still in place so I'm sticking with those. I sense that this question is a promise of a sticky one and will soon delete it. But again, thanks for answering.
