Won't load MOV. Files

I am working on an edit and I have used multiple MOV. clips on it. Yesterday I used these file and edited with them and it worked fine. But today they cant even load. On the system the timeline shows that the video is there but is gray and all I see is black on the preview screen. Even the render wont have the video show up just the audio. Here is the weird thing. When I create a new project and drag the same exact files they appear and work fine, but I cant even add any MOV. files to the project I have put a good 4 hours into. Another weird is that when I open the project up just before everything loads I can preview around and see the video fine. but about after 10 seconds of a quick look around the project fully loads and then the whole preview turns black and the MOV. file turns gray. How can I fix this?

Can you please post yiur Vegas version and file details?

Sounds like your project file is corrupted or there is some bad media within the project. See if you can copy the timeline in sections (beginning to end) to a new project to see if you can locate the media that is causing the problem. Most often, in my experience, things like this are caused by media on the timeline that Vegas cannot decode.
