10 HD cameras => preview in 12 fps :-(

Hello ! I have a problem ^^
I am using Vegas Pro 18 with Windows 10 X64. I am doing a video editing in which I use 10 HD cameras, so 10 video tracks syncronized to Vegas Pro.
When I do a multi-camera preview, it goes down to 12 fps :-( while I have a CM X399 AORUS PRO + AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti + 64 GB RAM + 1 CT1000P5SSD8 for storage + 1 CT1000P5SSD8 for rendering. In preview, the graphics card works at 60% and the processor at only 17% :-(((
Do you have an idea to make it go faster ???

Your best bet is to create lightweight proxies for your project source, and turn off multicam mode when not needed.

I dont think exactly that it is an decoding problem here. If you are using 10 streams at once, it might actually be just to much data to handle for your SSD, although it is an NVMe it still has to access 10 different files at once. But Musicvid is right, try just to create half res proxies.

First see if setting the preview quality lower helps. If on best, or good, try preview.

If that fails, right click on the files in project media. Select "create video proxy". Let it encode the proxy. Then, as long as "preview" or "draft" is selected in the preview window, it will use the proxies, which decode faster. This will have no effect on render quality.
